Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American actor, voice actress, director producer and vocalist. As an intelligent and attractive actress, she serves as a role-model for several Asian actors who are in Hollywood who wish to make it big. An early string of success performances in popular TV series made her well-known for her part in the character in Ally McBeal, where she played Ling Woo. It was a moment of fame that led to film roles such as Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. She then delivered a superlative performance as Japanese crime lord O-Ren Ishii In the Quentin Tarantino film Kill Bill Volume 1. At the same time she appeared in box office failures, including Rise: Blood Hunter. For animated films such as Kung Fu Panda, Tinker Bell as well as others, she voiced characters with prominent voices. Mia Mason's role as a character in Cashmere Mafia, a small screen production, didn't bring about the positive results. The role she played in the critically acclaimed police drama Southland allowed her to regain her status as an established actress. Liu chooses her roles carefully to avoid being a stereotype within an industry where competition is fierce. While she's been embracing her roots she has not let them limit her as an artist.
