Anita Ekberg
Anita Ekberg is a Swedish actor from Sweden. Her roles were in several films as well as European and American. Her most well-known performance was in the drama comedy film "La Dolce Vita". In 1960 the film received the Golden Palm and an Oscar by the Cannes Film Festival. The film also received both critical and commercial success. The actress was born in Skane where she worked as a model before embarking on performing. She eventually won the Miss Sweden Contest. In the US the actress began to appear in movies with minor roles. Her first credit role was in the movie "Abbott and Co. Go to Mars", in which she was the role of a Venusian guard. That same year she won an award called the Golden Globe in the category of 'Most Outstanding Newcomer' for her performance in the film Blood Alley. Her work included a variety of films that included the war drama War and Peace, the Western 'Valerie,' the British Crime Adventure film The Man Inside and the The French/Italian Drama The Dam on the Yellow River.' In the year 2015, she died aged an 83 year old.
